As Team Mom for my son’s football team last season it was my job to budget and plan our end of the year banquet and gifts for all the players. While walking through the OC Swapmeet one Sunday afternoon, my Business Manager and I stumbled across The Painted Pillow booth where all kinds of different pillows were displayed. Imagine our surprise when we noticed a couple pillows on a table that were made for our Football League featuring the cheerleaders. They were fantastic! We knew we immediately had to readjust our plans to make room for these! We did. All 34 boys got a special pillow made just for them and then we also gave the ‘family pillows’ to a few of our helping families. They were a huge hit! The boys were all SOOO excited when they saw themselves on the pillow and the family ones actually brought tears to the eyes of the moms who received them. It ended up being just as we anticipated – a unique and personal way to commemorate a season full of wonderful memories! My son loves having his on his bed and many times I have found him snuggled up with it sound asleep. We look forward to finding ways to utilize The Painted Pillow in the future!
